just so i am clear
it would be easier for someone to buy a gun than to go get healthcare? pretty awesome country this is.
edit: i think it is pretty great that one non white person is elected president and suddenly you need 45 birth certificates to be legitimate, but a potentially crazy person going to buy a gun? oh no we can’t ask for any verification there. go ahead and buy this dangerous instrument of...

my valentines day
1. gal says she doesn’t want anything because i am flying out to see her next week so i listen to her and dont send anything. then she acts upset all day
2. she tweeted that her favorite thing about valentines day was some parody tweets an echl hockey team was tweeting (bonus points for talking hockey but something tells me her boyfriend should be her favorite thing)
oh yeah, this is our...
i will probably have to write something for...
but for now two things:
1. if you follow me on twitter (@fetch9), apologies in advance
2. i am sure i am going to screw this up somehow

today i was referred to as “the boy” for the first time ever. milestones!
even crying in the fetal position i can still craft a good missouri joke also im glad no one reads this
so the gal compared us to amy and rory from doctor...
i’m not all the way caught up but so far:
she has cheated on him once
he has died twice
she tried making out with another guy on her wedding day…twice
perhaps the gal is dropping some not so subtle hints
it appears proper diet and exercise actually works
I sweatshirt that i could barely fit into at the start of the summer fit well at the start of the school year and now when i just put it on it is too big for me. yay for not being a fatty.
i am about to do some bad math
(super) small sample size warnings ahead:
recent events have got me thinking that as a whole women are more respectful than men. my girlfriend is super duper attractive (both inside and out of course, but for the purposes of this post, outside is the important one) and as such i have accepted there will be plenty of times when i wont be around and she will be hit on bigtime. i know she...

please rest easy. while i think bobby valentine is a total moron the reality is that he is no dumber than probably 25 managers in baseball. managers don’t do much differently in terms of in game strategy (especially considering the best strategy for a manager to employ is to do nothing at all), so…
holy fucking shit i actually wrote this.
(still think it’s vastly overrated...
who wants to hear my story of being awkwardly and creepily hit on by the checkout gal at walmart last night? good times.

1. all my friends are out of town and i am super bored
2. my girlfriend is on a roadtrip/football vacation and i am super lonely

onlinecounsellingcollege:
1. Exercising: Exercising raises your body temperature for up to three hours. That can make it harder to relax and fall asleep.
2. Having a hot shower or bath: Although a bath can be relaxing, if it’s too late at night your body won’t have time to cool down…
WHOOPS DID ALL OF THESE TONIGHT LOOKS LIKE I’M NOT SLEEPING
So the gal is pretty awesome. She’s smart, funny, cool, gorgeous, yadda yadda yadda. The only problem is it seems like only one of us tells the other that. It’s not really in her personality to compliment other people, which is fine, but it at times makes me feel like she doesn’t give a rip or really likes me or desires me or whatever. The best I’ve gotten out of her is...

but: 0.0% worried about Tyshawn’s turnovers. Also assuming the bench gets better I would up our ceiling to a potential final four team.

Contrary to what many believe, the central effect of such negative advertising...
– The Washington Post’s Stephen Pearlstein • Offering a counterpoint to Ezra Klein’s point from the other night; Pearlstein suggests politicians want people to turn off from the political process, because it helps them stabilize the electoral pool come election time. Which is how we get stuff like...
college logic.
Wear shirt two times: Dirty
Wear hoodie every day for three months: Still clean.
(I'm not in college anymore but I still apply this logic)

Baseball Predictions
Just want to get these on the record so I can look back at how stupid I was….
AL West - Rangers
The Angels are the hip new team with Pujols and CJ Wilson but it’s the Rangers who have back to back pennants and who have also added Yu Darvish. My main worries are that Josh Hamilton won’t be very good this year and that Nelson Cruz has already been the best he will ever be (and I...

Most Obvious Award Ever
KU won the inaugural Naismith Student Section of the Year Award, which was always pretty much a forgone conclusion because hey it’s Kansas and it’s Allen Fieldhouse, but also the award is named for our first coach so we pretty much had to win.
Thanks for the award guys!

A twist on your normal bracket games
over at RCT, we are doing a game where you pick 10 teams, and get points equal to their seed for every win that team racks up. For example, if you pick Kentucky and they win the national title, you get 6 points. But if you pick Florida State and they get just 2 wins you get those same 6 points. So you obviously want to pick teams you think have a chance to advance, but also high enough seeds to...
